As Principal, Denisha has experience in a variety of unique environments, which has provided a broader understanding of the overall patient documentation journey. This experience includes time at Sarasota Memorial Hospital as their Corporate Compliance Officer, where she developed and implemented a system-wide compliance program. This effort involved working with the various organizations within the healthcare system including an 800 bed hospital, a large physician practice group, long-term care & behavioral health facilities and their individual departments such as Revenue Cycle, Health Information Management, Charge Master, Medical Staff, and various ancillary departments.

Throughout Denisha’s professional career, she has been very active with local health information management organizations, participated on the Compliance Task Force and Program Committee of AHIMA and was President of the FHIMA in 1999. Denisha has served as an instructor for HCPCS/CPT and ICD-10 coding, as well as other health related courses at both the University of Central Florida and St. Petersburg College. Additionally, she has been an adjunct instructor for the Health Information Technology and coding certification programs at St. Petersburg College and a member of their HIT Advisory Board.
